West Bengal Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi, who presided over the crucial talks on Singur between the government and Trinamool Congress-led opposition, on Friday said "the dialogue was useful and held in a constructive spirit".
"We had three hours of useful and constructive discussion in a spirit of understanding. We will resume the dialogue tomorrow," Gandhi told a press conference immediately after the parleys at the Raj Bhavan.
He thanked the participants for the spirit in which the talks were held.
The Govenor took the initiative for the talks following requests by both Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Trinamool Congresss chief Mamata Banerjee.
