The Indian Hotels Company Ltd on Saturday said the 'tower wing' of its property Taj Mahal Palace and Tower - one of the targets of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai in November would re-open on December 21.
"The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower will play host to the world again, with the reopening of the rooms in The Taj Mahal Tower," The Indian Hotels Company Ltd said in a statement.
"We dedicate our reopening to the city of Mumbai as an affirmation of the values of courage, resilience and dignity," The Indian Hotels Company Managing Director and CEO Raymond Bickson said.
When contacted, a company spokesperson declined to comment on the cost of damages on account of the attacks and the expenditure required to restore the hotel.
The spokesperson also refused to give a timeframe on the possible re-opening of the heritage wing of the Taj Hotel.
