Stars shine at the premier of Martin Scorsese’s "Shine A Light"

The Rolling Stones and director Martin Scorsese posed for photographers on a black carpet at the New York premiere of their new movie "Shine A Light" on Sunday.

The star-studded event at the famed Ziegfeld Theater brought out celebrities including new parents of twins, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.

Mick Jagger, lead singer of the Rolling Stones, said that it was difficult to draw up a song list for the movie.

"Which of the songs are going to work for this movie? What's going to work on this small stage? Also what songs you want to do for the duet sequences, and so on. So it's hard," he said.

The movie shows a 1970s clip of American talk show host Dick Cavett interviewing Jagger. Cavett asks the singer if he thinks he'll still be performing in his sixties.

Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards went says that the best part of the film for him was that director Martin Scorsese was able to film an energetic Rolling Stones concert in a small theatre without the band being aware of the 17 cameras.
Shine A Light will be released in the U.S. on 4 April, 2008.
