Cristiano Ronaldo has predicted an imminent development over his Manchester United future as manager Alex Ferguson has warned Real Madrid against trying to lure the winger with heavy-handed tactics.

"I have nothing with Real Madrid at present,'' Ronaldo has said Friday from Lisbon, Portugal.

"I have a contract with Manchester, and in the next two weeks we'll be speaking again ... perhaps there might be something new," he added.

Basking in the glory of his second Champions League title, Ferguson has insisted on Friday that the Portugal star, who scored 42 goals this season, is a vital component of his plans for European domination.

"(Real) think they can ride roughshod over everyone, but they won't do it with us," Ferguson has said.

"We only sold them Ruud van Nistelrooy and David Beckham because we wanted to," he added.
