Pop star Britney Spears' father Jamie, who is her legal guardian, is charging 1,250 pound per week to talk to her and do her cooking.

Thesun.co.uk reports that Jamie is asking a court to make the payment from Britney's estate. He has been taking care of her since she was released from a Los Angeles psychiatric ward.

He said: "I ran errands, including buying groceries and cooking supper on a regular basis. I spent a good deal of every evening conversing with Britney."

He will remain her legal guardian till July 31.
