Cricket: Sri Lanka 85 for two in rain-hit Colombo Test

Sri Lanka were 85 for two at stumps on rain-curtailed day one of the first cricket Test against India at the Sinhalese Sports Club grounds in Colombo on Wednesday. Malinda Warnapura (50) and Mahela Jayawerdena (16) were at the crease.

Play started at 3:30 pm after the first two sessions were washed out due to rain. Only 22 overs were bowled in the day.

Ishant Sharma (1 for 21) dismissed Michael Vandort and Zaheer Khan (1 for 42) got the wicket of Kumar Sangakkara.
