Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy crashed out of the ATP Rogers Masters with a straight-set defeat at the hands of second seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic in the semifinals in Toronto.

The seventh seeded Indo-Czech pair went down 3-6 6-7 (5) to Nestor and Zimonjic, who are now into their sixth straight final.

In a contest that lasted an hour and 10 minutes, Paes and Dlouhy were left ruing missed opportunities. In the first set itself, the Indo-Czech pair earned as many as four break points but failed to convert any.

On the other hand, Nestor and Zimonjic latched on to the only break point that came their way in the opener before going one up.

After being outplayed in the opening set, Paes and Dlouhy attempted a comeback in the second set but Nestor and Zimonjic warded off the late fightback to march ahead.

The second-seeded Canadian-Serbian duo will now attempt to clinch its third straight title when it faces top seeds and two-time champions Mike and Bob Bryan.

The Bryan brothers defeated Australians Paul Hanley and Jordan Kerr 6-3, 6-4 in the other semifinal of the $2,615,000 event.
