After the declaration of the Lok Sabha poll results, the BJP parliamentary board will meet for the first time in the National Capital on Sunday evening.

The meeting has been convened to elect the leader of the Opposition for the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The meet is likely to begin at 6:30 pm (IST) in the evening in the Parliament. It was rescheduled so MPs from Karnataka, who will be attending a function in the state during the morning, can attend too.

The election of the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha is just a formality; the party's been pressing for L K Advani to continue.

Senior party leader and MP from Bhopal, Sushma Swaraj is likely to be named Advani's deputy in the Lower House.

The party is yet to take a final call on whether to choose Arun Jaitley or M Venkaiah Naidu to lead the Opposition in Rajya Sabha.
