Three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in a remote village in Doda district on Friday.

On a tip off, a joint team of Rashtriya Rifle troops and Special Task Force of police launched an operation in Tagan Dhar area, nearly 50 kms from Jammu, police said.

On seeing the security forces, militants opened fire at them and in the ensuing encounter, three militants of LET outfit were killed, they said.

The bodies of the militants are yet to be recovered as intermittent exchange of firing was still continuing in the area.
