Following in the foot steps of her contemporaries Halle Berry and Jennifer Aniston, actress Reese Witherspoon is now planning to launch her own perfume.

The 'Legally Blonde' star, who is the face of cosmetic giant Avon, will team up with the firm's scent experts to create a signature perfume 'In Bloom', US magazine reported online.

Witherspoon's fragrance will feature hints of gardenia, magnolia and jasmine. The actress revealed that she chose these specific ingredients because they remind her of home.

"In developing 'In Bloom', I found myself drawn to the scents of my childhood in Tennessee. We had a great big magnolia tree in the back yard, and it's that beautiful white blossom that inspired the perfume," Witherspoon said.

The actress who is dating 'Brokeback Mountain' star Jake Gyllenhaal after divorcing Ryan Phillipe last year said that the name of the perfume suggests her content life.

"'In Bloom' is indicative of where I am in my life today. I'm feeling very strong and independent, and so happy, so full of life. The fragrance truly captures that feeling, it's very sensual, very romantic and alluring," the actress added.
