Under pressure from over 20,000 engineers who have given a call for an indefinite strike from Thursday, Bihar's NDA government is likely to recommend a CBI probe into the alleged murder of Yogender Pandey, an executive engineer of the state Road Construction department.

"The state police headquarters have recommended to the state home department today favouring the demand for a CBI probe into the case," Additional Director General of Police (headquarters) Neelmani said.

"Now it is for the state government to decide on the issue and do the needful in this connection," Neelmani said.
