Following is a chronology of some recent major bomb blasts in the country.

A double truck bombing tore through a Shiite minority community near the northern city of Mosul, while a series of blasts struck Baghdad on Monday in a wave of predawn violence that killed at least 42 people, according to Iraqi officials.

"Ten persons were killed and 49 others injured in the explosion that took place yesterday in two factories of the Bairhan Industrial area," Superintendent of Police (SP) Singrauli, Anurag told PTI.

At least 15 people were killed and another 35 wounded when an explosion tore through a vegetable market in the mixed Baghdad neighbourhood of Dora, security officials said.

The Pakistani TV channel Geo TV reported a suicide blast in a posh locality in Islamabad on Saturday. Six persons were dead and five others were injured in the attack, Tahir Alam, SSP Islamabad said.
