The Supreme Court has asked the income tax department and HCL Technologies to resolve a dispute concerning international transactions through the Alternate Dispute Resolution Mechanism.

HCL Technologies on Tuesday surged as much as 12 percent a day after the country's fifth largest IT software and services provider announced the completion of the 441 million pound acquisition of the UK-based SAP consulting company Axon Group Plc.

Shareholders of the UK based SAP consultancy firm Axon on Monday accepted the 441-million pound ($810.8 million) bid by HCL Technologies, setting the stage ready for one of the largest overseas acquisitions by an Indian IT company.
