Naga rebels
Ahead of peace talks, main Naga rebel outfit NSCN-IM today asserted it has not withdrawn its key demand of sovereignty for Nagaland, a call rejected by the Centre as not feasible.
Taking a serious note of the recent spurt in clashes between rival Naga rebels in Nagaland, the Union Home Ministry on Saturday held a high-level meeting to review the situation in the state.
Another round of talks between the central government and the rebel National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isaac-Muivah) took place in New Delhi on Wednesday as representatives of both sides carried forward the dialogue process after last week's meeting.
