Blackberry maker Research in Motion (RIM) has withdrawn its offer to make a hostile bid for acquiring an encryption technology company.
A Canadian court has stopped BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) from making a hostile bid for takeover of its security technology supplier Certicom Corp.
Amid the deepening economic crisis, BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion (RIM) has reported revenue of $2.78 billion for the third quarter, posting a 66 percent jump in year-over-year revenue for the quarter.
"The new BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone packs an amazing range of useful features into a simply beautiful and compact design," a RIM statement quoted Mark Guibert, vice president for corporate marketing, as saying.
The Waterloo-based wireless major said the new device would be available exclusively to Verizon customers in the US and Vodafone customers in Europe, India, Australia and New Zealand in the autumn.
