Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini recently captivated audiences with her performance at the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The celebrated Mathura MP, renowned for her expertise in the traditional dance form Bharatnatyam, once again showcased her artistry through a mesmerizing dance drama at the festival.

The Chakradhar Samaroh, a cherished music festival in Raigarh, honors the legacy of Maharaja Chakradhar Singh, the former ruler known for his patronage of art and music. The 10-day festival, which began on September 7, was inaugurated by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. During the opening ceremony, CM Sai highlighted Maharaja Chakradhar’s contributions to Indian classical music and affirmed his government’s commitment to preserving local art and heritage.

In addition to her performance at Chakradhar Samaroh, Hema Malini recently starred in a special Janmashtami event in Mathura, portraying Yashoda, the mother of Lord Krishna. The Padma Shri awardee and iconic Bollywood actress is celebrated for her roles in classic films such as ‘Dream Girl’, ‘Sholay’, and ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’.

The festival, blending music, dance, and cultural heritage, continues to draw attention for its celebration of traditional art forms and its dedication to honoring historical figures like Maharaja Chakradhar Singh.
