The recent controversy around the Netflix series IC-814 has allowed us to revisit the longest hijacking episode in aviation history. It would be a great disservice to the brave survivors of the IC-814 hijack and to the efforts of the then-Indian government if all we remember of the averted tragedy is a social media controversy.
