Here are the key promises made by the BJP in their manifesto:
- Permanent Jobs for Ex-Agniveers: Guaranteed employment opportunities for ex-Agniveers in various sectors.
- Minimum Support Price (MSP) Assurance: Commitment to procure 24 crops at the declared MSP from farmers.
- Laado Laxmi Yojana: Monthly allowance of ₹2,100 for all women aged 18 to 60.
- Industrial Development: Construction of 10 industrial cities to create jobs for 50,000 locals in each city.
- Government Jobs: Guaranteed government jobs for 200,000 local residents.
- National Apprenticeship Promotion: Additional employment opportunities for 500,000 individuals under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.
- Chirayu-Ayushman Yojana: Free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh for each family, with an additional ₹5 lakh coverage for senior citizens aged 70 and above.
- Healthcare Access: Free dialysis in government hospitals and diagnostic services across all healthcare facilities.
- Affordable LPG: Provision of LPG cylinders at ₹500 each under the Har Ghar Grihani Yojana.
- Scooters for Students: Distribution of scooters to female college students in rural areas through the Awal Balika Yojana.
In a related announcement, the Congress party revealed seven key guarantees, pledging a legal assurance for Minimum Support Price (MSP) and a caste survey, should they secure power. This announcement featured prominent leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Haryana Congress Chief Udai Bhan, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, and senior observers Ashok Gehlot, Ajay Maken, and Partap Singh Bajwa.
After unveiling the BJP’s manifesto, Nadda criticized the Congress party’s approach, stating, “For Congress, this manifesto is merely a formality—just a ritual to mislead the public. Haryana’s image a decade ago was plagued by job allocations based on ‘Kharchi’ and ‘Parchi’ and notorious for land scams. For us, the ‘Sankalp Patra’ is crucial. We are committed to serving Haryana without interruption.”
As the October elections approach, both parties are preparing for a competitive battle to win over voters in Haryana, each presenting their vision for the state’s future.
