Indian Army Neutralizes Two Terrorists In Kupwara Districts Near Line Of Control

In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Indian Army successfully neutralized two terrorists in the frontier Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, near the Line of Control (LoC). The encounter, which occurred as part of the army’s ongoing efforts to curb infiltration and combat militancy in the region, took place early this morning.

According to official sources, the operation was launched after intelligence inputs indicated suspicious movement of terrorists near the LoC. The security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the suspected militants. Upon being confronted, the terrorists opened fire, triggering a fierce gun battle between the militants and the Indian Army. After an intense exchange of gunfire, the army confirmed the neutralization of both terrorists.

No casualties were reported among the security forces during the operation. In addition to the elimination of the terrorists, a cache of arms and ammunition, including automatic rifles and explosives, was recovered from the site of the encounter. The army said it had discovered ” warlike stores” from the encounter zone, which are still being searched.

” Two terrorists were killed as security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control ( LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district” said the Indian Army on Saturday.

” Two terrorists have been eliminated by the security forces in the ongoing operation,” the Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said.

The Kupwara district, which borders Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, has long been a hotspot for militant infiltration due to its proximity to the LoC and difficult terrain.

The Indian Army has increased its presence and surveillance in the region to counter the threat of cross-border terrorism, maintaining a high level of vigilance.

Operations like these form a crucial part of the army’s strategy to safeguard the security of Jammu and Kashmir and prevent terrorist activities in the country.
