Vice President Kamala Harris is set to deliver her concession speech following the 2024 presidential election on Wednesday, November 6. The speech will be held at Howard University in Washington, D.C., her alma mater, at 4 p.m. ET, according to sources.

Harris was originally scheduled to address supporters Tuesday night during an event at Howard University, a historically Black college where she studied as an undergraduate.

However, as results rolled in early Wednesday, it became evident that former President Donald Trump had won the election, securing key swing states such as North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, which had been closely contested.

Polls had shown a tight race between Harris and Trump leading up to Election Day. Ultimately, Trump achieved a significant victory, winning his second term in the White House.

Despite the challenges, the Harris campaign and Democratic fundraising efforts broke records, raising over $1 billion since Harris became the nominee. High-profile donors, including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, backed her campaign, while Trump received support from individuals like Elon Musk.
