The BJP is set to announce Delhi’s next Chief Minister after a key meeting of its Legislature Party on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The meeting will take place at the party’s Delhi office, following their big win in the February 8 assembly elections, where they secured 48 out of 70 seats. Once the new leader is chosen, they will meet Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor to formally stake their claim to form the government.
The BJP has appointed Ravi Shankar Prasad and Om Prakash Dhankar as central observers for the decision-making process. The party is also preparing for a grand swearing-in ceremony on February 20 at Ramlila Maidan, with top political leaders, including PM Modi, expected to attend the event.
