According to authorities, a Border Security Force (BSF) officer was slain in Gujarat by family members of a kid he confronted for reportedly sharing a video of his young daughter online.
Melaji Vaghela was the name of the BSF agent (45). On December 24, he was allegedly attacked by the youth’s relatives with sticks and other sharp objects, and he passed away immediately. The seven family members, two of whom are women, were taken to jail and charged with rioting and murder.
A video of Vaghela’s daughter was allegedly made by Shailesh alias Sunil Jadav of Vanipura village in Nadiad tehsil. It recently become quite popular.
Vaghela went to Shailesh’s residence with his son and other family members to chastise him for allegedly filming a video of his daughter and sharing it online.
Shailesh wasn’t home at the time, but his family members were.
Seven individuals assaulted the paramilitary force member and his family members with sharp objects, killing the BSF jawan and seriously injuring his son Navdeep. At the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, Navdeep is receiving medical care.
The murdered BSF jawan’s widow, Manjulaben, filed an FIR at the Chaklasi police station, and a case has since been opened in accordance with the Indian Penal Code.
Constable Vaghela was assigned to the BSF 56 battalion.
