Hockey being the national game of India does not get the kind of recognition it deserves. Up Until a few years ago, everybody wanted to opt for cricket, and a minority of people played hockey.

Indian hockey teams, both men and women have turned the tables around by receiving great heights in the game. They have bagged multiple trophies both national and international tournaments. The Hockey World Cup 2023 is set to begin from January 13-29 in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, ahead of which there is a conclave being held in Konark.

The National Conclave will be focused on informing people about the game as a whole, its players, player execution, instructing, grassroots talent identification, organization as well as worldwide arising patterns, amazing open doors, and difficulties. The Conference will give a stage to different partners from in excess of 20 states and association regions around the country for examining ways of creating Indian hockey comprehensively.

Looking forward to the conclave, The President for Hockey India Dilip Tirkey said that it was the first time the conclave is taking place in the state with support from the Hockey Association of Odisha and the government.
