Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh met on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Tuesday.
According to a statement by the state government, the chief minister assured the prime minister that the state government will effectively implement centrally launched schemes such as the Pradhanmantri Gati Shakti Yojna, which aims to revolutionise infrastructure, and the Parvatmala Yojna, which aims to build ropeways.
The statement said that it was a courtesy call.
Apart from reviewing several development projects, the Chief Minister demanded liberal assistance from the Centre to provide a boost to existing development operations.
He stated that both of these plans will greatly help the people of the state, and that connection and infrastructure development are two of the current government’s primary priorities, in addition to creating job opportunities.
The Chief Minister also presented the Prime Minister with a Himachali shawl and a cap, as traditional mementos.
