Several Bollywood celebrities flocked to social media to congratulate Team India on winning the first-ever ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup by defeating England in the finals.

“Congratulations to our Indian women’s team on winning the U-19 World Cup!” actor Abhishek Bachchan commented on his Instagram story. “I am extremely proud of each and every one of you.” Farhan Akhtar, an actor, tweeted, “Congratulations!! India has won the World Under-19 Women’s T20 Cup.”

Ananya Panday used a “wow” sticker in an Instagram story post. “CHAMPIONS,” wrote Rakul Preet Singh. Congratulations to our Indian Women’s team on their U-19 World Cup victory.”

Arjun Kapoor commented on a post, saying, “Sincere congrats to Team India. You guys made history by winning the inaugural ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup! Greetings from India!” Actor Bobby Deol posted many photos to his Instagram account with the message, “Congratulations to the team for their World cup #U19.”

India defeated England in the final to become the first-ever winners of the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup on Sunday in South Africa. England won by 68 runs in 17.1 overs (Ryana Macdonald Gay 19, Alexa Stonehouse 11; Titas Sadhu 2-6), whereas India won by 69 runs in 14 overs (Soumya Tiwari 24*, Gongadi Trisha 24; Hannah Baker 1-13).
