The maximum daytime temperature has risen in North India, including Shimla, in recent days, with places in the NCR region recording the highest temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius on February 18, according to data given by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD predicts no rain in the North Indian zone for the next four days, with a minimum temperature of 11.4 degrees Celsius observed on Sunday. The highest daytime temperature in Himachal Pradesh’s capital is also rising.
Shimla reported a minimum temperature of 14.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday, the highest for this time of year since February 23, 2015, when it registered a minimum temperature of 14.2 degrees Celsius. On February 16, Solan recorded a maximum temperature of 29.5 degrees Celsius, breaking the previous record of 28.5 degrees Celsius set on February 26, 2021.
With no rain, the relative humidity was measured at 95%. Though the national capital saw mild fog on Saturday morning, the peak temperature on Sunday is forecast to reach 31 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD, with clear skies expected by the end of next week.
Furthermore, the organisation predicts that the daytime temperature in the Capital will rise over the next few days, reaching a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius.
