Defence Ministry, Union Ministry of Home Affairs along with Jammu and Kashmir police and the armed forces are holding a high level discussion on the proposal to withdraw army from Kashmir hinterland, according to sources.
It is proposed that the CRPF will be deployed wherever army personnel will be withdrawn from the valley to meet the challenges of both law and order and anti-terrorist operations.
Army will be withdrawn in three phases and the first phase to have less militancy, i.e. to withdraw the army from affected districts like, Kulgam, Anantnag, interior areas of Kashmir are proposed in the discussion, sources told NewsX.
According to sources, some things have been told about the removal of the army from the hinterland, which is being discussed at a high level.
