According to Deputy Commissioner Captain Shakti Singh, four persons died after inhaling noxious gas while cleaning a septic tank in Jakhoda village in Jhajjar. According to him, the four people were putting pipes in the tank when they suffocated to death after breathing hazardous fumes.
“It has been reported that four people died while cleaning a septic tank in Jakhoda village. A person along with a mechanic and two other laborers was cleaning the septic tank of his house. The accident is being investigated,” Deputy Commissioner told ANI.
Deepak, a resident of Jasaur Kheri near Bahadurgarh, Mahender and Deshraj, both from Madhya Pradesh, and Satish, from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, were among those killed. Deshraj and Satish worked as migrant laborers while Mahender was a bricklayer.
