Uttar Pradesh: Gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed was shot dead in Prayagraj on Saturday while being taken for a medical procedure. The incident was caught on camera where the accused in the Raju Pal murder case was shot dead along with his brother Ashraf Ahmed from close range.
As further information about the event emerge, the news agency PTI claimed that two to three persons opened fire on them while nearly 6 policemen were escorting the two gangsters. All three assassins are in police custody now.
Atiq Ahmed was accused in the 2005 BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case and also in the Umesh Pal murder case which happened in February this year.
