A mysterious explosion took place on Wednesday in the Chatru area of Kishtwar. According to the news agency, there has been an explosion in the Chatru area. One person also died in this explosion. At the same time, one person is reported injured.
Local police reached the spot as soon as they got information about the explosion. Kishtwar police have said that the investigation is going on now. Kishtwar SSP said that preliminary reports revealed that a suspicious explosion occurred in the kitchen of Mohammad Abbas Naik’s house in Simbal village. One person was killed, and one was injured in the said blast.
It is reported that the two brothers had gone to the forest to collect Morchela, and they found an abandoned rod-like rusty object, which they brought home, and it exploded while heating in the kitchen. Police are further investigating.
Three weeks ago, there was also a blast in Hiranagar of Kathua. There was a huge explosion in the forest area near the border police post about four kilometres before the Indo-Pak border. The explosion was so powerful that it was heard in four-five villages nearby.
A policeman was also injured in the blast. Immediately after the blast, the entire area was cordoned off, and the CRPF, police and SOG personnel launched a search operation. The security forces also closed the Old Kathua-Samba route as a precautionary measure.
