Poonch terror attack: Terrorists used bodycam to shoot entire incident

Terrorists who attacked the army vehicle in Poonch on April 20th, 2023 were using body cams to shoot the entire terror attack, according to latest reports.

An Army vehicle moving between Bhimber Gali and Poonch in the Rajouri sector was fired upon by unidentified terrorists on Thursday, the Army had earlier said. The vehicle caught fire, due to the likely use of grenades by terrorists, the army statement added.

Rafiq Nai and Shamsher Nai, the two terrorists behind the Poonch attack, are currently hiding out in Pakistan, according to NewsX sources. Sources claimed that the two brothers were residents of Poonch and travelled to Pakistan to receive terrorist training as one of the most significant revelations of the investigation into the incident that killed 5 military jawans.

Earlier on Friday, the Indian Army launched a massive operation to hunt down a group of around six to seven terrorists who are behind this attack. “The Army and security agencies have received inputs about the presence of 6-7 terrorists operating in two groups in the Rajouri-Poonch sector near the area where the incident took place yesterday,” ANI reported citing sources.

The deceased soldiers, identified as havildar Mandeep Singh, lance naik Debashish Baswal, lance naik Kulwant Singh, sepoy Harkrishan Singh, and sepoy Sewak Singh, were assigned to the army’s Rashtriya Rifles unit and were stationed in the area for counter-terrorism operations.
