Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar, was among an estimated 100 Heads of State and government from around the world invited to the historic coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey on Saturday. Dhankar, who arrived in the UK on Friday, took to Twitter on Saturday night to express his happiness at being present at the coronation ceremony.
“Happy to be present at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla today. On behalf of the people of India, I extend my warmest congratulations to the newly crowned King and Queen of the UK. May India-UK ties grow stronger in the years ahead. @RoyalFamily” the Vice President’s office said in a Twitter statement.
Dhankhar on Sunday arrived at Delhi airport after attending the Coronation ceremony of King Charles III on behalf of the Government of India, in London.
