According to the Election Commission, Karnataka, where voting began at 7 a.m. on Wednesday in Karnataka Assembly elections, had an approximate voter turnout of 7.83 percent until 9 a.m.
The elections would decide the fates of 2,615 candidates from various parties across the state. The highest voter turnout in Dakshina Kannada was 12.47 percent as of 9 a.m. today.
Karnataka is holding elections for 224 assembly constituencies, with 2,615 candidates running.
According to the Election Commission, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP)Central had a 7.89% voter turnout, while BBMP (North) had a 7.55% turnout, BBMP (South) had an 8.22% turnout, Bagalkot had an 8.52% turnout, Bangalore Rural had a 7.72% turnout, Bangalore Urban had a 9.11% turnout, Belgaum had a 7.47% turnout, and Bellary had an 8.
