Elon Musk, the billionaire, has expressed his concern about the negative effects of the social media platform ‘TikTok’ on certain age groups. Musk took to Twitter on Sunday to share a discovery about the negative effects of the video-making platform “TikTok.” Elon tweeted a photo of a research synopsis about researchers who created accounts for fictitious 13-year-old users and then bombarded their feeds with clips about eating disorders, body image, self-harm, and suicide.
Musk captioned it as, “Extremely destructive if accurate.”

Earlier on Friday, the billionaire announced Linda Yaccarino as the new Twitter CEO after considering stepping down as the company’s CEO in six weeks. Musk, who purchased Twitter for USD 44 billion last year, will keep a firm grip on the company and will concentrate on product design and new technology. Linda’s primary responsibility will be business operations.
As Twitter’s owner, he has left his mark by laying off more than 75% of the company’s 7,500 employees, appointing his own leaders, and altering the service’s features and strategy. He also made Twitter private, which means he is no longer required to reveal corporate information to the public.
The outgoing CEO recently announced another Twitter update that will give verified users early access to an encrypted messaging service. The update is currently only available to verified users.
Musk stated in December that he would step down as CEO of Twitter once he found “someone foolish enough” to take over. According to Variety, Musk recently renamed the company “X Corp.” as the parent of Twitter.
