According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a Rs 75 denomination coin to commemorate the inauguration of the new Parliament building.
On Sunday, May 28, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the new Parliament building to the nation.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the coin’s obverse face will feature the Lion Capital of ‘Ashoka Pillar’ in the centre, with the legend ‘Satyamev Jayate’ inscribed below. The Ashoka Pillar will be surrounded by the words ‘Bharat’ in Devnagri script on the left and ‘INDIA’ in English on the right.

The image of the Parliament Complex will appear on the coin’s reverse face. The inscription ‘Sansi Sankul’ shall be written in Devnagari script on the upper periphery, and the inscription ‘PARLIAMENT COMPLEX’ shall be written in English on the lower periphery. The Ministry also stated that the year ‘2023’ in international numerals will be written beneath the image of the Parliament Complex.

The coin will be circular in shape, with a diameter of 44 mm and a weight of approximately 35 grammes.
The coin, which will have 200 serrations, will be made up of 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc.

Notably, the country will commemorate its 75th year of independence in 2023.
