Taiwan: Chinese military aircraft and naval vessels tracked

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence (MND) tracked 37 Chinese military aircraft and seven naval vessels.

From 6 a.m. on July 21, until 6 a.m. on July 22, Chinese military aircraft and naval vessels were monitored. “37 People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) military aircraft and seven People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) vessels had been tracked around Taiwan,” the MND reported.

The MND of Taiwan claims that seven naval ships were also dispatched to perform joint combat preparedness patrols with Chinese military aircraft. The MND stated that it has sent navy ships, combat patrol aircraft, and land-based air defence missile systems in response and that it is actively monitoring the situation with its intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) system.
