Steve Smith details wrist injury from Ashes 2023

Steve Smith, a batsman for Australia, said that he had a wrist injury in the second Test at Lord’s and carried it for the last three Tests against England in the Ashes 2023 series.

Smith is no longer able to participate in Australia’s white-ball tour of South Africa, which begins on August 30. Smith tore a minor tendon in his left wrist, forcing him to wear a splint for a short time.

It was at Lord’s. I don’t really remember the exact time, but it was while we were out in the field. It wasn’t until that evening that I realized what I had done since the area was starting to hurt. I participated in the next game before receiving a cortisone [injection] before to Old Trafford. When I returned to Australia, I thought, “[It’s] still not quite right.” I still struggle to complete several tasks correctly. I underwent another scan. Smith was reported by ESPNcricinfo as saying, “There was a minor tear in the tendon as well as a few other things.

Mitchell Starc, a left-handed fast bowler, has also decided to withdraw from the South Africa series, making Smith not the only Australian player to do so. Since his arrival from the UK, Starc has been dealing with groin pain.
It is anticipated that Smith and Starc will both be ready for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and Australia’s ODI series against India. And have been given enough time to rest and recover before the coveted tournament begins.

Australia’s T20 team consists of Mitchell Marsh (captain), Sean Abbott, Jason Behrendorff, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Aaron Hardie, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Glenn Maxwell, Matt Short, Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Turner, Adam Zampa.
Mitchell Marsh is the captain of the Australia ODI team, along with Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Aaron Hardie, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Tanveer Sangha, Marcus Stoinis, David Warner, and Adam Zampa.
