Numerous Bollywood celebrities have lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful G20 presidency. Among them is actor Ranveer Singh, whose recent film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ achieved box office success, and he extended his congratulations to the Prime Minister.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Ranveer Singh posted a picture of PM Modi from the G20 Summit and captioned it, “Heartiest congratulations to our Honorable PM @narendramodi ji for hosting a triumphant G20 Summit, uniting nations for a brighter future! One Earth. One Family. One Future.”
The G20 Summit, organized under India’s presidency, brought together heads of state and delegates from around the world. This grand event took place at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan in the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam after extensive preparations.
India assumed the G20 presidency on December 1 the previous year in Bali and will continue to hold it until the end of November. During the summit’s first day, G20 leaders adopted the New Delhi Declaration. Throughout India’s presidency, a key focus was amplifying the voices of the Global South and developing nations. India’s theme for the G20 Presidency was ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ emphasizing ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future.’
PM Modi emphasized that India’s G20 Presidency symbolized inclusion, both domestically and internationally, and it became known as the “People’s G20,” connecting millions of Indians.
A significant and historic outcome of India’s G20 Presidency was the inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member of the group.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh’s upcoming project is director Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Don 3,’ scheduled for release in 2025.
