Blue Dart’s Dart Plus Renamed ‘Bharat Dart’ Amidst India vs. Bharat Dispute

Blue Dart Express Limited has officially rebranded its recently revamped service, formerly known as Dart Plus, as “Bharat Dart.” This decision was announced in an exchange filing and was the result of extensive research and discovery.

The move follows the recent controversy surrounding President Droupadi Murmu’s invitation to G20 leaders to refer to India as “Bharat” instead of “India.”
Balfour Manuel, Managing Director of Blue Dart, expressed excitement about this transformation, emphasizing that Bharat Dart marks the beginning of a new and promising chapter for the company and the nation.

Bharat Dart aims to redefine express logistics services in the country, promising unmatched speed, coverage, and support for businesses of all sizes, according to the company’s statement.
The decision to use “Bharat” alongside “India” has garnered attention, especially after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s use of “Bharat” during the opening of the G20 summit.

While India is commonly referred to as Bharat, Bharata, and Hindustan in various Indian languages, the country has traditionally used “India” in titles such as President or Prime Minister in English communications.

Blue Dart invites all stakeholders and customers to join them on this transformative journey as they continue to connect Bharat to the world and the world to Bharat. The company boasts an extensive network, covering over 55,000 locations within the country and spanning 220 countries and territories globally.
