The BJP has adjusted the schedule for its Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting, originally planned for September 30 and October 1, to now take place on a single day, October 1. During this meeting, the party will address crucial matters related to the upcoming state assembly elections in five states.
Party insiders have confirmed this change in the meeting’s duration, and it is expected to primarily focus on the impending state elections in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. The BJP aims to secure victory over the Congress in these two states, with the polls slated for later this year.
Additionally, the elections in three other states—Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Mizoram—will serve as a test of the BJP’s popularity and provide insights into the political landscape as the country approaches next year’s Lok Sabha elections.
