The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its fourth list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly polls, confirming Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s return from Budhni, with 57 prominent names including Narottam Mishra, Govind Singh Rajput, Gopal Bhargava, Rajendra Shukla, and Omprakash Sakhlecha.

The BJP’s candidate list coincides with the Election Commission’s announcement of the poll schedule for five states, including Madhya Pradesh. The assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh are slated for November 17, with the vote count scheduled for December 3. The state boasts a total of 230 assembly seats.

BJP has been proactive in announcing its candidates for the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls. The party unveiled its first list of candidates on August 17, comprising 39 nominees. The second list was released on September 25 and included three central ministers and four Lok Sabha MPs.

Additionally, the BJP announced that Monika Batti, who had previously been associated with the Gondwana Gantantra Party, would contest from Amarwara—a seat reserved for STs.

Among the five states heading to the polls, the BJP currently holds power in Madhya Pradesh. The elections will also take place next month in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Mizoram, with the vote count scheduled for December 3.
