IDF Conducts Retaliatory Strikes in Lebanon Following Anti-Tank Missile Attack

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched retaliatory strikes in Lebanon following an attack with anti-tank guided missiles on its border, as reported by The Times of Israel. The IDF stated that further details regarding the attack would be provided soon. The initial IDF report indicated that an anti-tank missile had been fired from Lebanon toward a military post near the community of Arab Al-Aramshe.

Near the Lebanon border in northern Israel, anti-tank missiles were fired, according to i24NEWS English. Additionally, there was a suspected infiltration attempt near the border town of Rosh HaNikra.

Simultaneously, the Israeli Defense Forces targeted the Islamic University of Gaza, described as a significant hub for political and military power for Hamas in the Gaza Strip. In a statement shared on [Platform], the IDF mentioned, “Fighter jets recently attacked the Islamic University, which serves as an important center of political and military power for the terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip and a training institution for the development and production of weapons. The IDF continues with extensive waves of attacks in the Gaza Strip at this time as well.”

Earlier in the day, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus, the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), revealed that 1,200 Israeli citizens had lost their lives, and more than 2,700 were injured in the Hamas strikes. He stated that the IDF was prepared to carry out its mission in Gaza, mentioning the breach by Hamas into Israel and the resulting casualties.

Conricus added that approximately 300,000 soldiers had been deployed on the Gaza border to ensure that Hamas is completely stripped of its military capabilities by the end of the ongoing conflict. In a live video posted on [Platform], he emphasized the Israeli government’s goal of preventing Hamas from possessing military capabilities that could threaten or harm Israeli citizens.

Continuing its air campaign against Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported striking over 200 targets in the Al Furkan neighborhood, as detailed by The Times of Israel. In addition, the IDF security forces targeted the residence of Mohammed Deif’s father, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the terror attacks and the head of Hamas’s military wing.
