In a powerful display of solidarity with Israel, US President Joe Biden met with Jewish community leaders at the White House, condemning the brutal attacks by Hamas as a “campaign of pure cruelty.” Expressing his shock at the horrific images of terrorists targeting children, the President reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for Israel during its conflict with Hamas and efforts to secure the release of American hostages.
Addressing a gathering of approximately two dozen rabbis and leaders of Jewish organizations, President Biden also issued a stern warning to Iran, cautioning them to exercise caution. He detailed the strategic deployment of US military assets, reinforcing the message to Iran to be vigilant. The President emphasized the unprecedented malevolence brought forth by terrorist groups like Hamas, likening it to, and in some cases surpassing, the worst atrocities committed by ISIS.
Earlier in the day, President Biden held his fourth confirmed conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, affirming the United State’s commitment to providing additional military assistance in the fight against Hamas militants. Reiterating his support, President Biden assured both Israel and its citizens of steadfast backing, whether at home or abroad.
