Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Telangana, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), asserting that the party will forfeit its deposits this time, emphasizing their limited influence in the state. Kavitha also indicated that Congress might pose a challenge but lacks the capacity to compete effectively with the BRS. Referring to the BRS’s recently released manifesto, Kavitha highlighted its alignment with the leader’s vision and its potential to shape the state’s trajectory.
In response to the Congress party’s promises, Kavitha dismissed them as unreliable, likening them to “tissue papers” and questioning the party’s ability to secure power. Meanwhile, the BRS’s manifesto unveiled plans to reduce LPG cylinder prices and increase financial aid for farmers under the ‘Rythu Bandhu’ investment support scheme, alongside a proposed raise in social security pension amounts for Telangana residents. The Telangana Assembly elections are set to take place on November 30, with vote counting scheduled for December 3.
