Trudeau voiced disappointment over India’s alleged violation of the Vienna Convention by revoking the diplomatic immunity of the Canadian diplomats. At a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Ontario, where he addressed the India-Canada diplomatic standoff, Trudeau stressed the importance of international cooperation in investigating the Nijjar case.
He highlighted that the United States supports Canada’s efforts in resolving the matter and called on India to cooperate.
