The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has sent out invitations to saints of diverse traditions for the upcoming consecration ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. The temple trust highlighted the inclusivity of revered saints and prominent individuals contributing significantly to the country’s honor. A Tent City, equipped with six tubewells, six kitchen houses, and a ten-bed hospital served by approximately 150 rotating doctors, has been established at the new Teerthakshetrapuram.

The city is adorned to welcome lakhs of devotees attending the consecration ceremony, with arrangements for food, including langars, community kitchens, food distribution centers, and meal areas spread across every corner of the town. Invitations have been extended to Shankaracharyas, Mahamandaleshwars, spiritual leaders of the Sikh and Buddhist communities, and key figures from various domains such as Vamini Narayan, Art of Living, Gayatri Parivar, Media Houses, Sports, Farmers, and the Art world.

Approximately 4,000 saints from various sects, veteran journalists active from 1984 to 1992, and the families of Karsewaks have also received invitations. Out of the three idols being crafted for Rama Lala, the one portraying the “tenderness” of a five-year-old child will be chosen. Sculptors Ganesh Bhatt, Arun Yogiraj, and Satyanarayan Pandey are entrusted with this task.

Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid and Lakshmikant Dikshit will conduct the Pran Pratishtha Puja, followed by a 48-day cycle of mandala puja led by Vishwaprasann Teerth Ji, starting from January 16. Meanwhile, Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar revealed plans for a 40 MW solar plant on 168 acres of land, with 140 acres already secured. The NTPC is overseeing the solar plant’s setup, accompanied by the installation of solar streetlights and a solar tree, promoting renewable energy in the city.
