As the nation eagerly anticipates the installation of Lord Ram’s idol at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple on January 22, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed immense pride, stating that it is a matter of great self-esteem for the country. Speaking in Guwahati, Sonowal emphasized the spiritual significance of the event, highlighting that the nation seeks blessings from Lord Ram, and the temple’s inauguration is a matter of pride for all.
“It is a matter of self-esteem for the country. We always seek blessings from Lord Ram. It is a matter of pride for the people that a temple for Lord Ram will be inaugurated… Today, the country is marching ahead with development under the guidance of Lord Ram,” said Union Minister Sonowal.
The installation ceremony on January 22 is expected to draw hundreds of officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust has extended invitations to 4,000 saints from various sects for the auspicious occasion. Ayodhya, revered as the birthplace of Lord Rama, holds immense spiritual, historical, and cultural significance for the people of India.
According to the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust, arrangements will be made for 10,000-15,000 people to witness the historic event. Three idols, crafted from stones brought in from Karnataka and Rajasthan, will be considered for placement in the sanctum of the grand temple. The selection of the best idol from the three stones is slated for the first week of January, paving the way for the consecration ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned a nationwide campaign for Ram Mandir celebrations commencing on January 1. BJP workers will embark on a door-to-door initiative across villages, encouraging ten crore families to participate in Diya Lighting programs for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The campaign aims to involve communities from every corner of the country in the joyous celebration of this significant cultural and religious milestone.
