One day following a report of a ‘blast’ near the Israel embassy in Delhi, the police have identified two ‘suspects’ after CCTV footage, as disclosed by sources on Wednesday. While officials have not confirmed the involvement of the duo in the incident, they are being regarded as potential suspects based on their presence near the Israel embassy on Tuesday evening.
CCTV footage revealed two individuals in the vicinity, and their role in the alleged ‘blast’ incident is yet to be determined. Authorities are working to establish the identity of the suspects and understand their activities at the time of the incident. The situation will become clearer following further questioning.
The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the route taken by the two suspects to reach the location. Additionally, efforts are underway to ascertain their identities.
Earlier, in connection with the ‘blast’ call, a letter addressed to the Israeli ambassador was discovered near the Israel Embassy on Tuesday evening. The letter, written in English, contained threatening language, and it mentioned a group called “Sir Allah Resistance.” Details of the letter are still under examination by the police.
On Tuesday, Delhi Police responded to a call reporting a ‘blast’ near the Israel Embassy in the Chanakyapuri area. However, upon investigation, no evidence of a blast was found at the scene. The call was received by the Delhi Fire Services around 6 pm, prompting the deployment of the Delhi police crime unit, fire services, bomb disposal squad, and experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory.
Despite the initial report of a blast, sources from the special cell stated that no such incident occurred. Security measures in the area have been heightened, with increased police presence and monitoring through CCTV cameras.
