A Staff Court of Inquiry is underway against the 13-Sector Rashtriya Rifles Commander, addressing lapses in operations. The Indian Army chief, Gen. Manoj Pande, visited the Poonch-Rajouri sector to assess current operations and discuss strategies against terrorism. Sources suggest that Pakistan may be attempting to revive terrorism in the region to pressure the reduction of Indian troops on the northern border with China.
