Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 27th National Youth Festival at Tapovan Ground in Nashik, Maharashtra, on National Youth Day. Emphasizing the crucial role of India’s youth in the country’s development, PM Modi urged them to use local products and steer clear of drugs. He commended the youth for their potential to create history, encouraging them to engage in activities that would be remembered by future generations.

Addressing the crowd, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of youth power in India’s growth. He credited the youth for India’s achievements, positioning it as the world’s fifth-largest economy. PM Modi expressed confidence in the youth’s ability to elevate the country and called for promoting locally manufactured products, envisioning India as a global manufacturing hub.

Reflecting on personalities like M Visvesvaraya, Major Dhyan Chand, Bhagat Singh, and others, PM Modi reminded the youth of their responsibilities during the ‘Amrit Kaal.’ He encouraged them to work towards taking the nation to new heights.

In addition to celebrating National Youth Day, PM Modi urged citizens to participate in cleanliness campaigns at pilgrimage places and temples across the country on the occasion of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ day of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22.

Expressing happiness about the response to the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat Sangathan’ portal, PM Modi noted that around 1.10 crore youth had registered within 75 days of its establishment. The Prime Minister also participated in a roadshow and offered prayers at Shree Kalaram Mandir in Nashik.

During his visit to Maharashtra, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 30,500 crore, including the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari – Nhava Sheva Atal Setu in Mumbai, the longest sea bridge in the country. Several other development projects in Navi Mumbai were also launched.
